Trying Aveda hair products- post 1

So, I’m taking some Aveda products out for a test drive based on having my hair done in an Aveda salon today. Based on my salon results and the multitude of people who swear by Aveda products, I’m feeling good about their products as an option. The issue will likely be price point, and if I can get the same (or even better/more preferable) results for less?

  1. The brilliant conditioner works amazing on hair, it is truly a wonder product.

  2. OMG!! I love the Brilliant pomade in the blue jar for twists. I twisted my whole head last night and it looks amazingly moisturized and pretty (and it smells wonderful). I have been looking for a product for twists for a while that functioned kind of like shea butter and a glossy oil/gel all in one and this does the trick.

  3. yep, i think i’m going to be an aveda convert. so far, all of their products work amazingly well and smell great.

fallon- you’re absolutely right. the humectant pomade seems to hold, shine, moisturize without feeling heavy and smells great. you should give the Brilliant conditioner a try as conditioner and leave-in. it does wonders defining my curl pattern…are you doing twists on your own now?

  4. I will definitely try it too. I want to convert as well. Gas prices have forced me to do my own twists lol.
